Do you have a less expensive line of products for tweens and teens?
Tuesday, October 18th, 2011

I was recently asked by a client if InBalance had a less expensive line for her teenaged daughter... I felt my response to her would be beneficial to share with all of you. Once you break down the cost per day, you can see our products really are one of the most cost effective options in the marketplace today for skin care, whether it is preventative, corrective, or maintenance. The key is concentration and efficacy of our products.  You really do only need to use a drop or two to get the  profound and desired results you have been looking for.  If you have a question, please send it my way! We always love to share knowledge with our patients and visitors to the site...

Q. My 13 year old daughter wants to see you!  Let's start simple with her as she goes through products waaaay to fast.  Is there a cheaper line for her?

A. Regarding the pricing of our products, when you think about it, I think you would be hard pressed to find a more cost effective cleanser then ours.  Let's break it down...

The gel cleanser at $40.00, and when used as prescribed 2x's a day, lasts for 6 months.
    • The pH toner is $40.00, and when used as prescribed 2x's a day, lasts for 10 months.

Cleansing and toning your face with those 2 products, 2 x's a day, ends up being about $0.35 a day. Yes, you read that right... $0.35 per day!

The proper way to effectively start treating your skin begins with education.  Teaching all ages why proper skin care is important at every age, and what proper skin care is, is a huge part of the service that we provide here at InBalance.  The second step is prevention from unwanted skin health issues.  Again, there are sometimes many layers to it, but with children, if you start with the basics of understanding why sunblock, balanced diet, proper hygiene and habits are important- they at least have the opportunity to make truly informed choices in their behavior and habits that will affect them the rest of their lives.

I understand that at $60.00 you may feel that our sunblock is pricier than what you have used in the past, but I have yet to find another sunblock that I actually like to put on my own face!  It is highly concentrated, has a clean base, is effective, does not irritate or cause me to break out, and works without interrupting the other corrective formulations I use on my skin to keep it healthy.  Another example being our prescription strength Tretinoin, at $80.00, (preventative and corrective for both acne and anti aging), is highly effective in it's high concentration, and it is tolerable like no other Retinoid that I have found or used, again, due to the high quality of the base of the ingredients, as well as because of what we don't put into any of our products in the way of parabens, sulfites and inexpensive fillers.

Having healthy skin is a process, not an event! Unfortunately, most people spend countless dollars, effort, and time on products and treatments that don't work because they are confused with all of the misinformation, misconceptions and gimmicks that surround skin care.  Then they end up spending loads of money and time looking for beauty products to cover and conceal their problem skin because it often affects their self esteem.  We see them everyday in our clinic.  Since skin is never static and is always changing throughout our lives, it is important to learn to listen to your skin and understand how it works. Working with us at InBalance would be one of the best "deals", in terms of your teenagers skin health, that you could ever give to them.  I mean that sincerely.  Our customized skin systems are simple and take just a few minutes 2 times a day.  As far as worrying about your teenager's wastefulness with products, I believe that can be cured with awareness and teaching value.  Lots to learn here, but kids are sponges and easily adaptable.  If you are interested in your daughter's skin care, I recommend that you bring her in for a complimentary consultation on her skin, and then we take it from there.

This melanoma prevention video teaches teenagers the importance of using sun block, avoiding tanning beds and how vital it is to get their skin checked regularly.  I have to warn you, it's a tear jerker, so watch it when you have a moment.

Thank you Viviane for sharing this with us!
